Generally speaking, what do you guys think is the max age that most of the fractionals will hire a guy at? I will be retiring from one career in about a year, at age 55, and am thinking of giving the fractionals a try. I've got an ATP and about 10,000TT, about 3500 turbine (about 2000 of it King Air, the rest is turbine helo time)..... only Type Rating is a BE-300, and no jet time. You guys think I stand a chance gertting hired at the Frax against the youngsters?

You should be good at 55, in my new hire class there were 2 retired pilots and I'd say there are around 200 guys at NJA over the age of 60. It will depend on if you interview well.

mswmsw, you have a good a chance. At 55 you might want to look at FX CS or XoJet, shorter upgrade than NJ. (if money is a factor)
cheers

I'd guess there are well over 200 guys here who are over age 60. There are some guys who are over age 70 working here. There is a good history of hiring retired airline pilots like the above posts stated. As long as you can show the interviewers that you have good customer service skills (that is what they are focusing on now) you will not have a problem getting hired due to your age.
