They're done interviewing for the year, yes. I was in the same recurrent -- the company president said at the dinner that they'd be hiring 29 (I believe) more for the year, which I take to mean one more class.

Did the President or anyone else mention what the plans were for hiring in 2009?

No specific numbers; just hiring "to meet demand." As attrition is very low right now, it'll be based on growth, which would depend on how the market shakes out. Just have to wait and see, unfortunately.

Don't get your hopes up for a December class. I was told I definitely would not see a class anytime in 2008, and I interviewed in April. I don't think anyone in the thing-they-don't-call-a-pool interviewed any earlier than that! Of course, not too much predictability here, but the wait times have tended to be "later, not sooner".

And it's ALL sim availability. Pay no attention to the economy behind the curtain!

When I was a FSI in CMH for recurrent a couple of months ago there were open sim times every day I was there and my instructor said they had not been working as hard for the last couple of months before that. That was in the XLS sim and I don't know about the others there, but the whole sim back log theory doesn't work so well now. I do believe it has slowed things in the past, but that isn't the case across the board any more.

Someone on another board said they were told in recurrent a week ago that another Indoc class would run this year. But, I have not heard of anyone being notified for that.
