Any word going around at Avantair about any interviews/new hire classes starting up again in the beginning of the new year? I applied back in October and have two internal recs, one of them an IOE captain helping me out.
I have 2300tt with 1010multi and an ATP...all of my experience is part 135 single pilot and two pilot crew charter in the northeast (Cape Air and Linear Air). Do they consider folks below the 2500tt mins?

They do, in fact, look at folks with less than the mins prescribed. Having said that, it is very competitive out there, so it may take some other kind of push to get you through (like your internal recs).
As far as hiring goes, who knows. The pilot group growth depends on how much the fleet is growing and how attrition is (currently 0.0%). It can't hurt to keep a bug in the ear of the folks you know currently on property. Are you currently furloughed from Linear or flying at Cape now?

Geronimo,
I flew at Cape Air a year ago and I was at Linear Air until I was furoughed back in September, and now I am flying traffic watch to keep me in the air and current also while I job hunt and collect unemployment.

Lucky you that you still even fly. I haven't flown since I passed that Eclipse SIC checkride not a week before the furlough.
