could you ask your senior friends that work there to answer your questions and maybe shine some light on the situation for the rest of us. as someone who was hoping to get an interview this news really sucks. there dosen't seem to be many if any companies that one could apply to and hope to get a job.

I have a few friends who are senior and "safe" there, but when even one pilot is out of work, anywhere, it allows management to say.. "Hey, we have people who would PAY to do your job"... Fellow pilots that are furloughed, whether you know them or not, could be the guy or girl that you are standing next to in the unemployment line next week.... So be nice and say a prayer for them, whether you know them or not.

I'm really sorry to hear about you guys getting furloughed. How many did it affect... and does anyone know how many and if and when they expect a recall?

These are 5h1tty times in a 5h1tty business.

Good luck to all of you XOJET and FLOPS pilots out there!

I could be wrong but I don't think the furloughs were by seniority. So I don't think anyone was safe. Best of luck to all of you furloughed guys and gals. I have been there done that and it sucks. Good luck.

23 pilots let go... Don't know when or even if they would be eligible to come back? Bad time to be a pilot. I think there will be more layoffs soon from our other competitors too, but I sure hope not. I feel very sorry for everyone who lost their job!

It wasn't in seniority order or I would have been gone. I am very thankful right now! It was merit and performance based

UNBELIEVABLE........WHAT A FREAKIN JOKE!!!!!!! ........and these CEO's are suprised when pilot groups unionize.

Anyone that works for these guys should leave now, screw em! This is only the begining with that jerk that took over the top spot.

Good luck to those let go.

Hey Falcon,

How many pilots are there at XOJET, i.e., what percentage is furloughed? For some reason, XOJET is the mysterious company with no APC profile and little information on the forums.

I hope for you guys that the furloughs end here..., because there is little out here.

Best of luck and hang in there XOJET guys and gals...

PS- Hoover, I ran into one of their senior guys, an old friend, in the airport a while back, and I will try to get a hold of him to get more information for you all.

Best of luck to all you guys at XOJet. It's a tough time for everyone, and not this industry alone.

I cannot believe that furloughs, or layoffs, were not in seniority order. That only gets the well-connected and the good a$$-kissers to stay, while the not so lucky, or the guys who have had some disagreement or problem with management, to go.... (a little harsh and over-generalizing)

I had a feeling of things to come when Siegle took over. I'm not saying that XOJet is in this situation because of him alone... but the way he will navigate through this will be by stepping on whomever he needs to to make more millions... Again, just going by his past, well-established performance at the airlines.

Nothing personal meant to the guys who were lucky enough to stay on property. I hope we all see the light at the end of this tunnel soon.

I'm just going to let this go, but I can tell you that no one wants a union on our property.

We all feel that these will be the only terminations even if the economy stays this way for another 6 months. We had 122 pilot, now 99, ie 11%.

We are just parking our aircraft, not selling them off in hopes that the economy turns around sometime in the near future. XO will be ok. I'm afraid that some of the big fractionals are in for it next... I hope not though.

I bet the ones let go despite being senior enough to keep their jobs disagree with you...

I know, some call it performance based while others call it kissing butts...

PS. I'm not a union fanatic but without any seniority protection whatsoever it simply boils down to a buddy-buddy system where you always have to bend over backwards to your management's wishes or eventually you'll be deemed "unproductive."
