We don't fly unless we get paid up front.

The writing is on the wall for this company, if (BIG IF) they fly again, it will not be the same. Everything is tainted now

Yes. They also know that their $450,000 1/16th share of a Piaggio is sitting in pieces in a hanger and being raped for parts to maintain the airframes that are flying.

No wonder they can't keep track of "time controlled parts."

"Industry-leading safety and maintenance program!" Now that's funny right there!

Ya, we flew one guy who couldn't believe his situation. He was mad 6 months ago, I am sure he has moved on from owning a share now. I really don't see them bouncing back this time unfortunately.

Well, it is true if your industry is " fractional ownership company
flying Piaggio twin engine pusher turboprops."

That kind of limits your industry comparisons.

Into the third week of their second "voluntary" shutdown in a year.

And the lawsuits are finally beginning. And this one's not even from an old owner, it's from someone who joined AFTER the last "voluntary" shutdown...

If said owner purchased a share "after" the first shutdown, then he should sue himself for stupidity!!! Another Idiot looking for a smoke'n deal, got his arse handed to him

Default Avantair Shutting Down...

All pilots (and probably all employees furloughed today, second time in less than a year. Also told that the company wouldn't make payroll this coming payday for time already worked.

Company asked for all company property back, so flying again anytime soon is unlikely.

Owner forum here indicates bankruptcy is in the offing.

"Avantair has furloughed all pilots effective immediately."
Hope all can get back on their feet asap.

Yes, and the extra kick in the nuts is they won't be paid for the last 2 weeks while the fleet was grounded. Could have furloughed 2 weeks ago to allow the poor guys affected some time to form a plan. Another example of how this company treats its employees.

Disgusting.
