Default Phenom 300

Just curious, is the Phenom 300 that Netjets operates single pilot certified? If so how will a FO log time?

I believe they have a crew of 2 on the 300s.

Isn't the 300 FAA certified for 2 pilots though, unless the PIC has his single pilot extension?

Also, as far as logging SIC, it's based on the company ops manual and requirements not always on the plane. You have PC12 and C208s being flown with 2 crew due to company requirements, whether we think its a joke or not is irrelevant and just personal opinions, as long as it is legal, it is log-able.

The Phenom is a single pilot airplane but to operate it single pilot, the pilot must have a single-ilot type rating in it. NJA pilots do not have the single-pilot rating so all SIC time is 100% legit.

Even if one of them did have the single-pilot rating (if they'd already flown the plane and had the type prior to being hired, for instance), if NetJets' opspecs require two pilots in the airplane then it's all legal for the FO to log SIC.

No it isn't. Might be a good airplane, but it isn't fast.

Ah, come on. It's plenty fast. MMO Mach .78 ain't bad for a light jet.
