Looks like 'Contract 2017' might actually happen.

It will happen, even if it doesn't happen in 2017. I bet we'll over 50% of us will strike 'til hell freezes over, or we get full retro, whichever comes first.

I'm ok with a signing bonus...

As long as the amount is equal to or greater than the amount of retro owed to us.

Speaking of money owed, I wonder if we're still on track to receive the LOA67 arbitration award (i.e. results) by early July.

Bonus/retro. Tomato/tomato.

I haven't heard anything about the 67 timeline. My understanding is that it's completely in the hands of the arbitrator, and could take one week as easily as one year. I could be totally wrong though.

This was in the LOA 67 Arbitration Update: "It usually takes about 3 to 6 months following the hearing to receive the arbitrator's decision." The way I read it, July-October is when the NC thinks we'll hear something.

Section six opener was April 2016, so just over one year. Mediation began in late October 2016. But while conventional wisdom says 4-6 years in negotiations, that convention developed during the lost decade. We're hoping to beat that based on the two facts that
1) the economic environment has changed massively lately, both in the industry, and at F9, and
2) we're eight years into one of the (relatively) heaviest concessionary contracts of modern times.

Will we actually beat the average? We are completely at the whim of the NMB, so it's anyone's guess. We do have competent people at the helm though, so we're doing this as efficiently as possible, I believe.

After endless years of concessions if there are no improvements in every line of every paragraph of every section of the current CBA......
Then No time to Strike....

Ok maybe a little over the top but the point is......

something.
The difference is huge if it effects you. It usually is whether the folks who have left/retired/gone disabled during the "negotiation period" will be made whole or not.

Signing bonus= Screw those who fell by the wayside

Retro=Reward all who sacrificed in the name of negotiations.

The mediator says he wants this done by September according to the latest fast read.

Thoughts on that happening? What do you all think?
