Telex Airmen 8 works well for me. Wouldn’t say there’s too much ANR but seems like it’s doing something.

The Telex ANR draws is power from the voltage driving the microphone so it should work in any airplane. It's a pretty novel idea I think.

I have the 8 plus, been on 2 trips with it, I love them except the anr pulsates on takeoff roll, anybody else have this issue?

Oddly enough I have that with my Bose as well. The first version of the Proflight did it really bad. I wonder if it's cabin pressure that's pulsating? Just a thought I had when I was trying to figure it out.

Don't notice this with my pf2

It's the pressurization

Anyone with pro flight 2’s realize that the airplane isn’t powering them? My AA’s just went dead after about 40 hours with my new headset. It’s a 5 pin plug so I thought the ship would power it.

I thought so too. I have a barometer app on my phone that measures pressure and graphs it, I need to remember to run it on takeoff and see what the pressure fluctuations look like.

I researched that quite extensively back when the Proflight came out and it turns out that the powered 5-Pin XLR connector is an option that has to be selected when the airplane is ordered. I guess it could be added but that ain't happenening.

Yes this happened to me once. Look on the back of the earphone (I believe it’s the left side) and there’s a switch that turns the ANR on/off. Sometimes the switch can be in between positions (I assume this happens when stuffing into the case occasionally). Make sure the switch is fully in the ANR ON position. May not be labeled but you’ll be able to hear if it’s on or off while wearing. This fixed the problem immediately for me.
