I don’t work for Frontier so I can blast him. Picking up extra flying and helping to complete flights that might otherwise cancel is way, way, way more detrimental to your cause. Where Spirit got in trouble was all the online talk about it. If everyone got on board and stopped picking up flying silently, and flights started cancelling regularly, you’d be having much more effective bargaining sessions with management. And don’t worry, there will always be enough greedy, selfish pilots picking up just enough to prevent the perception of a work action. Again, I don’t work for Frontier, but if my comments might cause any problems for Frontier pilots, then please Mods, delete my post. That isn’t my intent. |
Like the previous poster, I don’t work at Frontier. Agreed that picking up premium is a great way to not get a contract. Speaking of which...

We had the same frustrating thing happen at my regional - as long as people were applying, no contract. It was only when the well had dried up and “behind the power curve” became an understatement that management finally come to the table. Our contract had been amendable seven years. Pilots really can be their own worst enemies. |
Agree or disagree, this entire discussion is better had over a beer than on a public forum. Let's just drop it. Mission of the OP troll accomplished. Everyone keep doing what you're doing and don't do anything stupid this close to the finish line.

How close are we again?
no one knows obviously, but one thing is certain - they would love for us to misstep right now. |

We are nowhere near the finish line. Not even close.
