Default Are we going to park airplanes?

Was doing some snooping and simple math..
Apparently we are supposed to have 6 spare planes in November.
In my 3 years here I have never seen us have 6 spares laying around. That is nearly 10% of our fleet..
( ok more like 8% before someone flips out)
I heard we are down to 13 or so new hires in the October class. We lost 12 last month. So a whopping net gain of 1 pilot and we still supposed to net 5 more frames by the end of the year?!
It’s going to get uglier folks, 100% vacation cancelation and 90 hour line averages.

They parked 3 ish airplanes for September. Unless you are referring to cancelling orders or something along those lines.

I know that they are planning on having more spares on hand to improve operational reliability. I suppose since we are short on pilots anyhow, it's a perfect plan. Only problem is if they want to use a spare to replace a broken plane there won't be any pilots to fly it! Darn....

This is exactly what we need. Supply and demand.... the company is going to have to pay up soon

I remember in ground school about three years ago, a pilot asked the COO about the possibility of parking airplanes, he got a dismissive chuckle.

I’m sure it’s the way they are trying to play it off.
“Crap we are short on pilots we can’t staff our delieveries we have coming”
“No no, we will just call them spares and make it seem like we care and are trying to improve our operation”

“ Genius everyone gets a bonus today”
