I believe the only discussion now perhaps should be inside your head. Ask yourself how much your time is worth for the foreseeable future. Time is more valuable than money? I think so. That's just me. Quality time reduces stress, so I choose time. Nobody has ever been quoted saying from their deathbed, "I just wish I would have spent more time at work". Study the proposal, tweak it, send it back for adjustment. That's just me. I believe Biffle is under a strategic mandate from Franke. Using that business rationale may get us further than we are now, and I don't believe a lack of pilots has been much of an outstanding issue for either of these guys. Perhaps this is a twist we can use? That's all I'm willing to consider before the details emerge. Thanks. Hang in there. Time is on our side. |
I swear, if I hear 1 more pilot talk about 9/11 or some recession I'm going to lose it. If I haven't already. How can you vote on a contract based on speculation? I have a better chance of going to the road show and getting T-boned then my car exploding than another 9/11.
Upgrades are 2 years, JP said so. We are merging with Delta, JetBlue, and United! Ship set EFBs have been coming for 2 years, last I heard we will get them in the 2019 AQP session. Only the A330 fleet gets them. STOP MAKING DECISIONS BASED OFF SOMETHING THAT ISNT GOING TO HAPPEN! |

We’ll have a new deal in 2 months, Indigo needs this more than us, we will get Delta plus 10 percent if we vote this down..etc STOP MAKING DECISIONS BASED OFF SOMETHING THAT ISNT GOING TO HAPPEN! |

Everyone is so emotional. Yes voters and No voters. I doubt seriously that anything posted here (esp. threats and name calling) will sway one side toward the other. But, I would like to think there are some 50/50 people. Guys who see both sides and think "Hmmm, maybe a yes vote is the best. But maybe not. I need more info." That is what this and the 4 or 5 other threads with different titles that are all basically the same should be focused on. |

If I take the average of 10 airlines, this AIP is $16/ hour less than average. This doesn’t include DC, LTD, and per diem. |

It’s so bad. Especially considering how the union has been telling us “INDUSTRY STANDARD” and “ABSOLUTELY NO PBS” for years. “The NC will NOT back down”.
Has anyone identified one thing that actually is “industry average”? |
“In the meantime, we'll repeat the essential part of our message from earlier this week. We won't work at a "discount" to our peers in the industry, we won't give up important quality-of-life provisions that have been factored into the overall cost of our proposals, and we will be just as determined as other pilots to achieve a deal that represents market-based pay, retirement and job security provisions”
