too bad…..looks kinda on the spectrum, and doesn’t write/think things out too well…”me go to pilot college, like doctor and lawyer!”…but hey……what can you do?

Bashing a recent high school graduate and saying he looks like he’s on the spectrum.. Come on, you’re better than that. Hopefully you’re just trying to troll and aren’t that terrible of a person. Props to him for knowing what he wants do for a career instead of aimlessly going to college, like most.

Hey all, a couple of questions about uniforms:

-Is there a uniform allowance (or reimbursement program) of any kind? If so, what are the details and does it also apply to the purchase of luggage?
-Are there any specific luggage requirements? I was thinking between the LW and B&R, but I wanted to hear other opinions

Thank you

There is no uniform stipend. During the 1st week of ground school you will be sized for uniforms and submit your order. If you get the bare minimum, it’s about $200 if I remember correctly. I think it can be payroll deducted, but I opted to pay at the time of the order.

As far as luggage, I use the LW with the plastic frame. It’s held up well, but when it is done I will upgrade to a B&R (I’d prefer something that doesn’t scream “I’m a pilot” when non-rev). Travel Pro is pretty popular as well.

Thank you for the information. So once sized up, do you have to order from them or can I order online (from places like A Cut Above or FlightUniforms)?
Also for luggage, I was deciding between these three: LW Stealth Premier vs B&R Global 21 vs StrongBags Vortex 21

You’ll have to order the bare minimum items (pants, blazer, epaulets) then from M&H. The company written pilot handbook does state that all authorized uniform items come from M&H, but there may or may not be about 2,000 pilots wearing items that may or may not have come from M&H.

As far as the luggage goes, read the reviews and check out the warranty on each. Your bag will take a beating, so get something that works for how you pack/travel. As long as it’s black, no one will care what you drag around the airport.

Uniform stipend. It's just added to your pay supposedly ( I never look at it)

Dry cleaning and new uniform pieces over time

Oh ok so is there a more formal process (submitting receipts) or is it something that's just added regardless?
