If true, I wonder if because we are abusing them with 2 day training events every 6 months for captains and the pretty aggressive high altitude stall maneuver we all do now?

It wouldn’t surprise me if we’re putting substantial wear on those machines. Our new Day 1 of the PT has to put more abuse on the sims than I’ve given over several years of PCs and PTs. It is quite a bit of fun though; I like to do-over the maneuvers even if I get them right the first try.

Training related question. How is seniority determined in a new hire class? Thanks!

Age. Oldest to youngest.

Probably around half if the latest hiring trends continue.

Any new word on when classes might resume? Or are they still saying end of the year?

I haven’t heard anything new since they called and said to expect December. Sure would be nice if it was sooner.

Does anyone know if Frontier requires recency of experience? I took 3 year break from aviation and now looking to come back to the industry, I have plenty of 121 experience, 11,800 TT and 2,650 121 TPIC. Last month flown April 2016.

Require? No.
Would you be competitive? Possibly not.
Perhaps if you attend the next meet the chiefs in LAS you could talk to some recruiters and make your case. They're very approachable and open.
Good luck.. PL
