I'd say our biggest issue is pilot's having their spouse working FLICA while they're working an office job. I've heard several people bragging about this in the past.

Sabre should be fighting this, since it's their agreement pilots are violating.

JetBlue has had pilots fired for using flica on wifi while working a trip and/or having spouses work flica while they are flying. They got caught because someone who wanted a trip but got denied saw that the guy was flying when the transaction occurred and turned him/them in.

If you guys do that, and prove someone made a transaction while working a flight, they had to have given their password away and violated TOS. One guy getting caught and disciplined would probably be enough to reduce the number of people willing to risk it.

So you mean while the flight was operating right? Hence someone else had to do it for them. What about during a turn while you're running up to grab a coffee? Surely that's fair!

Management has the only access to flica data and has to make formal requests to obtain it. The union does not. To this point management has been unwilling to share this data. A dispute would have to be filed with proof (screen shots) the pilot who got the trip was actually flying. If that happened I would hope it would be withdrawn. Once a dispute is filed it’s up to the grievance committee if they want to elevate it to a grievance.

The worst offenders are the same that "enriched" themselves on picket days and all summer at the cost of their fellow employees. This should not be a surprise they do this as regular practice.

Do you seriously think we have pilots that have bots here?

It’s possible. The more likely senario is a pilot has his/her wife or husband make a predetermined request while they are flying. Which is why IMO we DON’T want to get management involved whatsoever.

Well if so, that's stealing. There should be serious consequences. Not saying fire a fellow pilot, just cut his open time nuts off for a while.

Good luck getting the company to look into it though.
