Anyone else notice that DIA is expanding by 39 gates. SWA is claiming they will get 16 of them. UAL is claiming they will get 24 of them including 12 on A Concourse. This equals 40 gates. Mix this with DEN staffing reductions. Do the math! Where does this leave F9 in the Denver Market? What does this say about F9 growth in DEN as the airport expands?

It looks like we aren't getting any additional gates.
Denver is an expensive airport to operate out of, and it's only going to get more expensive. I imagine we will never see DEN grow as a crew base

United and Southwest get better lease rates than F9? Level playing field? How in the world then do we give up gates when United or Southwest can’t come close to our CASM or RASM? We have the lowest costs. A real head scratcher.

I pressed Biffle on Denver growth plans about a year ago and he explained to me that the airport fees to fly DEN to LAX are 34 bux, and COS to ONT are 6.

Lol It’s close enough you could almost check in at DEN and then be shuttled over to FTG. Heck, they could even build a taxiway and connect the two almost.

I’m guessing Frontiers RASM is quite a bit lower then United when you’re selling tickets for $20.
