can't get market share if there is no market. So I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed on that.
I'm really happy I work here vs any other passanger airline though I think that is a scenario where we would lick our chops. |

I wonder with the increase in CASM from the legacies if they don't pull service to reduce supply and thus increase ticket prices.
I think that is a scenario where we would lick our chops. The legacies believe the demand will be down for a while, so for them it makes sense to retire older fleets like 757s and MD80s. There is certainly a chance that we will be in a position to grow with less competitive going forward |

The big airlines are definitely cutting service. They are retiring tons of older planes. The question is, will the demand come back quickly enough that their reduced fleet allows us to grab market share that wasn't easy pickins before?

There is certainly a chance that we will be in a position to grow with less competitive going forward I think our business model will do fine and will be able to go into and out of markets like we always have. Our biggest threat will be the lobby groups and politicians, the likes of which we have already seen. |

Well don’t forget - “ the politicians” are the reason thousands of airline employees are getting paid till Oct 1. There would probably be close to 10,000 pilots laid off by now if it wasn’t for the cares act. - and a few hundred from our little airline. I feel pretty fortunate to be getting paid Quite a bite of $ to have zero responsibility on the Cola.

Seriously. 30+ million people have lost their jobs and I'm getting paid to sit home and do nothing. It's a miracle of corporate lobbying in our favor. And with strong bipartisan support |

The union had absolutely nothing to do with the CARES act which is why people are getting paid to sit at home.
The Holy Grail of recovery is a vaccine. There's been some very positive news on that front today. As hamfisted and disjointed political approaches we have seen so far; I have a huge amount of confidence in US medical research & development to solve this. |
