We could get some Marsupial Tails mocked up though. Wesley the Wallaby and Donald the Platypus...??

I believe one of the oldest airlines in the world may have beaten you to that er, punch. (see what I did there??)
Knowing the Aussies we can expect the fleet named after local beer....

Virgin Australia is a train wreck and has been for 10+ years. None of it's owners (Etihad, Singapore Airlines or Hainan group) have any intention of trying to save it.

One of Virgins subsidiaries (an Airbus operator) was the only one that turned a small profit and they shut it down.

It's been a tool of the International airlines that want to serve Australia but are locked out of working with QANTAS due to alliances. If you want to offer service to Australia (a country geographically very similar to the US except virtually no one lives in the interior) you need a way to serve more than just Sydney.

Spent 5.5 years there; one of the most f#cked up management teams I’ve ever come across. You couldn’t make up some of the moronic decisions they made.

On the other hand, from what I’ve heard about indigo, they’ll struggle to pull the same sh!t in Australia as they have elsewhere; Australian employment laws are extremely protective of employees.

Indigo has someone smarter than whoever wrote/is in charge of Australian labor laws... they’ll find loopholes and exploit the hell out of them... it’s what they do... they’re not moronic however... they make money and they’re good at it... just comes at the expense of literally everything else

Don't really want to get into a tit for tat over this as I don’t have any dog in the fight but as I’m sure you may have experience of Indigo and understand better how they do things, than I do, you don’t know Australian labour laws like I do, Not only was I on the MEC of the Virgin Pilots Union but my wife used to run cases fo the flight attendants Union, at the fair work commission.

Trust me when I tell you, Australian employment laws are designed specifically to protect employees from the sort of sh!t we deal with here in the US. Have you ever had any of the following required by law. Long service leave, where for every 10 years of employment, you get 8.5 weeks of paid vacation. 5 weeks of paid vacation, every year. Paid maternity leave, with guaranteed job protection followed by flexible work arrangements up to schooling age. The list goes on and on. They’ll be able to make plenty of money by having access to the second most profitable route in the world (SYD-MEL) but they won’t be able to do it by screwing over the employees. It’s simply more inherently expensive to do business in Australia.

I’d say those are pretty good reasons why indigo hasn’t signed up... I’m not arguing with you... if you know one fact about Australian labor laws then you know more than me... I just know what indigo does
