Yes, I was thinking the same thing. I don’t even recognize 3/4 of these usernames, at least not from the F9 forum and now they’re trolling each other.

This furlough hysteria doesn’t exist on the line. Everyone, even the most junior have been very level-headed and realistic. I think that most people understand how dynamic the current situation is, and that our ticket sales can recover very quickly with an uptick in consumer confidence. That 35% number is a huge jump from previous communications and the potential CARES 2 money is surely correlated. There isn’t any “my airline is better than yours” going on, but I think our junior pilots feel good about their odds being on the bottom of our seniority list. Let’s see what Congress has in store this week before they take their recess and maybe we’ll have some more solid information regarding staffing requirements.

If you wanted to be on a private forum you’d be on a private forum. It’s always comical to hear guys say, “Hey, this is our airline board, stay out”. Perhaps you don’t understand the finer points of APC being a public forum??

The more collective WARN notices sent out from all of the airlines puts more nation-wide job loss pressure on congress. Piece that together with the thought of NOT sending any letters out and now you wait another 60 days to furlough if demand / load factor dosent pick up. It makes financial sense to send these letters out to be ready to adjust the business if necessary.
