I like to work when I want to work and take my long periods of time off on my terms, not sit around and wait for the company to come calling.

can your schedulers add to the 200%?

If not let’s take our ability to do that and your 200%. Next item?

Hope it isn't ORD.... Yes I commute. I don't want to live in any of the bases we have, and apparently at least half of our pilots feel the same way. Yes, we should be able to bid premium on flica the day before instead of waiting by he phone. No, 25% extra for working more is not the incentive I would vote for.

It is worth millions to the company. There will definitely be people that will pick trips up for the extra 25%. Yes, give that away, and the company will have to hire more people or give out more 200%.

All our premium is just 200%, I believe you guys have more options at different rates?

How about you get it and don’t work a single minute extra? Again it’s language that increases vac credit and acts as a multiplier on premium.

The problem with premium is that there’s no guarantee you’ll get any action. In my base I have to play it safe because the same two or three people get 95% of the premium. We need something better, like Delta’s green slip system.

I wouldn't vote for 25% extra either but I would like the process included in the next contract at a higher percentage. I didn't think I had to say it as we all want more than either contract has to offer.

Moving on.

The 82. The company wanted it gone. I wanted to exchange the value of it for a higher rate. Personally I’m never over 82 except in 2 of my 4 vac periods and then I’m well over 150 credit due in large part to that language. I recognize it’s value to a large group of our pilots that in multiple pre contact surveys wanted to keep it. It’s valued in the millions. I’m not opposed to it going away but I would need a clear understanding of what we got for it. Giving away language is a tough sell.

Our premium pays 150% but our schedulers can and frequently do bump the credit substantially. So the credit gets bumped and it still pays 150% of the new bumped credit.

moving on as well. For a later time when the merge pic is finalized.

No problem, you just need to sit down with one of us and have a beer to explain it to you. I promise its better than what you have.

With it, it is frequently easy to see 400-600% for premium trips. Take a quick 4 hour block day turn. Hits premium at 10hrs. Pays 15. Then add the 25% you’re at 18.75. Thats 375% pay over a straight 5 hours for min day. And the day turn premiums could hit as high as 15 in the pot on the Captain side, higher for FOs.
