Default Upgrade Training canceled.

Just heard this from the building.

Allegedly, due to State Farm J inability to comply with FAA mandated requirements in the training department.

1. Can’t wait to see the strongly worded email from the union that gets us nowhere.

2. How does this leadership group still have jobs? They screw up left and right but blame everyone else and discipline the pilots.

3. if your applying here, ask yourself why. Can you imagine being the FO that’s been here for almost 5 years now and getting this news. Unreal.

It’s true. Bummer. Losing the merger probably as well. Not a bunch of happy faces today.

Due to "State Farm J"... Are you saying (our?) insurance company stepped in and said no more upgrades?

Ohhhh... Him. That went over my head. I'd like to remove my question please....
I passed him in the hall of the training dept. some months back and he had the look of someone who knew that you knew that he was the one who farted.
How bad do things have to get before a correction in direction is made?
I feel like a crew member on the Exxon Valdez.

Thats horrible news if true; but the latest upgrade award was 3 years and 9 months. I understand things have slowed down some because of Covid, but if you’re almost 5 years in it’s likely this wasn’t your first upgrade opportunity..
hopefully they’ll fix the problem quickly. …

They have told the upgrades to stay home for another week, while they iron things out with the FAA. Apparently they haven’t gotten approval on the new upgrade footprint. Grab your popcorn! 🍿

Thanks. I already ate 🥵
I wonder what ‘the new upgrade footprint is’, why it’s changed and what the holdups are…
