I keep this kernel of hope that some sort of major change will come to Frontier burning in the back of my brain. A management change, getting acquired by a legacy, something like that. It's like imagining what you would do with your billion dollar Powerball winnings.

I do wish you guys all the best and hope that happens. So many amazing crews at F9.

I believe you. However, you are not our typical customer.

Ours is the one who will scream up and down every other flight they are never flying Frontier again and will do so 2 months later. As long as prices stay low, there will be a certain portion of the population (and it's quite a few people) who don't care about the lack of customer service because they are used to it (and come to expect). A quick examination of the cabin on most flights will reveal why F9 will be around for a while despite the moves that don't make sense to many others.

And, this population segment is growing...

Probably more of this coming with the new bag ransom gate policy.

I said it in another thread but I don’t find the decision as bad as some of y’all have made it out to be. This article agrees. However, full disclosure, it is written by Baldanza so it appears he and I think more alike than I would like to admit. Eesh.

Yeah having the customer service line disappear don't seem to be the end of the world but it sure is frustrating for those passengers who are told to call customer service by the "app" when that department doesn't exist anymore. Also, some people can't navigate that stuff. How would a blind passenger use it? I imagine there are ways they could that I don't know about, but I would think that we would have to have some way to accommodate those passengers who have disabilities that prevent them from being able to access a chat on the app.

If I have to correct someone more than 10 times a leg it's IOE . How do you expect a 1500 hour pilot to be able to do this without total CPT intervention. That is training .....

Baldanza used to run Spirit, currently sits on JetBlue’s board, and would love a move like removing a customer service line based on moves he previously made at Spirit. He just talked about what Frontier did on his Airlines Confidential podcast and echoed what that Forbes article said (no shock there). Podcast is generally excellent by the way.
