Why Aren’t you guys out at the Airport picking? At UA we had multiple events at every Hub before we got a Contract. Seems like F9 ALPA is not as motivated as they should be. Let me know when it comes to LAX I’ll be there

I feel you on this one. I have about 10 million in rental property make around 500k in profit. I would love to leave here but I barely work, all my peers are still working 4 days or jet lagged. Maybe we buy a legacy in the next recession and I can get a big jump on seniority haha. Otherwise I will be happy to let it ride. 😬 |

Also, can someone please explain why you guys weren’t released in 2018? We petitioned for proffer of arbitration in 2018 and crickets from the nmb for at least three months. The petition was a 20ish page document containing multiple examples of managements bad faith negotiations. Examples included multiple arbitrator statements to that effect in arbitrations, lawsuits filed for pulling vacation during periods of low res and sick usage during sec 6 negotiations, companies ridiculous proposals, ect… we had all the data demonstrating this. Also in there was the argument we’re small enough to not disrupt the broader economy. No argument that anyone has mentioned was left out. looking back there were two issues that stand out. The two new nmb bod members trump put in were let’s just say management friendly. The plan was to petition before confirmation of those two but that didn’t happen. The other issue in fairness was they were new so a strike out of the gate wouldn’t look good right after confirmation. Optics. It was pretty disappointing to say the least. I remember thinking to myself this has to be one of the best arguments in the history of airlines for release. If we can get released by this nmb group nobody is. |

Many reasons not to leave. Seniority, quality of life, not desiring to take a pay cut for a year or two, living on base, etc, etc. Every pilot who chooses to stay has a reason. So, do you want us to quit fighting for a good contract? Just give up? It fascinates me to hear pilots who work at legacies not support the F9 pilots. We may never achieve legacy pay, but the closer we get to them, the better it is for EVERYONE in the industry. If you are at a legacy you should want us to get pay as close to you as possible. You do not want a couple of airlines making so much less than you. Why? Even leaving now absolutely makes sense. I mean.....just UAL alone is going to hire 2000-2500 in 2026. And forget the pay.....just the work rules alone will offset the sacrifice of 1st or 2nd year pay as a legacy FO. For example...a 3 day 35 hr TAFB EWR-BOG at the legacies that leaves late and returns early will pay 15:45 vs 10:30. Not to mention typical 10% profit sharing, and 1/1 add pay for 10+ hrs of duty etc. |

Still doesn't add up. First of all....any F9 base is also a base at 1 or more of the 3 legacies. Second...upgrades at the legacies are running around 3 yrs so unless you are older than 57 or so it makes little sense to stay, even as a 10+ year CA. It pains me all the ignorance against those who didn't leave during the "big dig" esp in 2022-23 when one didnt need either TPIC or a 4 yr degree while know-nothings were shouting about the next recession that never came. Someone hired in late 2022 would already have over 4000 (20-25%) pilots under them at any of the big 3.
