What will the seniority advantage be for Frontier pilots? How does career expectations apply in this case? I would think Frontier would get a better seniority advantage merging with a bankrupt airline.

read the policy - I would say for ACTIVE pilots it’s anyone’s guess. But, career expectations is similar - narrow body low cost vs narrow body low cost. The bankruptcy doesn’t have anything to do with career expectations - frontier has also filed for bankruptcy in the past, but the career expectations of frontier pilots is good. The alpa policy talks about all of this - so as far as career expectations is concerned, both are low cost narrow body carriers- they both have similar career expectations when it comes to the active pilot list

Spirit hasn't been hiring for quite some time. So, if we integrate based on DOH I could be junior to every Spirit FO? That kinda blows.

As you should be. Not trying to be an a$$ but seniority is seniority.

I'm a little suprised you would WANT to be senior to guys hired before you...

That’s not what you mentioned a few posts ago. Do you understand the difference between relative and doh integration? Apparently not.

Straight doh with nk if it were to ever happen near term would be highly unlikely. I would spend zero time worrying about it.

That would be my hope as well but it wasn’t explicitly clear from that post. I believe they cleared up their position later.

I guess I’ll take my 2+ years at F9 and 4 years at OO and head on over to Delta. Direct entry captain here I come. Seniority is seniority.

To my understanding, any furloughed Spirit pilot would be junior to any active Frontier pilot on the merger date.

Moot point as we are merging with Atlas. 🤪

I guess based off of that attitude, you would politely turn down the chance at spirit pay scale or direct entry contributions being used to bolster the pay of both Airlines in a merger as well?
