Where did you hear this? I could see stopping a few months, but not all year... We do not have enough for the planes we have coming.
This must mean we are getting pilots another way...... right? (spirit) (i wish)

Not replying as OP, but in my case, I got an email today from a team member of recruiting saying hiring has slowed, to keep updating my application, “as things move quickly”. Kinda counterintuitive but I got the point, and oh well… maybe next year 😪.

Since when has this airline ever known more than a month or two out what they are doing? Look at our loads, it's between spring and summer, a typical slow season, and the flights are packed. This is just as baseless as the PHX closure circulating out there.

was in recurrent within the last month. When the tariffs went into effect They said it would kill our growth plans since our sale lease back account model doesn’t work with the increase in prices.
we are not going to take those planes if the admin decides to keep these tariffs.
we are going to pay a fee to cancel the orders instead.
If you just listened to the airlines confidential podcast you see how bad the tariffs are for our business.
