We’re at the bottom in nearly every metric: lowest pay, fewest days off on reserve, worst LTD, and constant uncertainty around our bases. Since Indigo, Denver has been cut by more than 50%. Las Vegas has seen a 50% reduction. Chicago was closed, then reopened. Smaller bases were added when we shifted to day turns, but even management now admits that strategy isn’t working as planned. Whether those bases survive or get shut down is still an open question.
Sick time accrual is one day per month but good luck using it. Without doctor’s notes, the company will drag you into disciplinary meeting for “dependability”. There’s no profit sharing (not that profits are even on the table right now). 401k vesting takes three years.
Financially, the outlook is grim. If we continue burning cash at this pace, bankruptcy by the end of next year is a very real possibility. Cash reserves have already dropped from nearly $1 billion to $500 million, and depending on credit card holdbacks, we could start running into serious liquidity issues in the near future.
If you have specific questions, I’m sure I (or others here) can help answer them.
Overall, it’s not a great time to be going to a ULCC. The legacies’ basic economy products are squeezing us out of the market. I hope I’m wrong, but the reality is that most of our pilots have applications out elsewhere.

I personally have not had issues with sick time, except one day after a holiday I used one, just explained to my CP and it was fine, no issues and no dependability issues.
Financials are basically flatline and slightly down, but no where near Spirit.
Right now just sucks for everyone unless youre a Legacy. NK/F9/JB and even SW are all not doing super great. But, its a cyclical industry, all the legacies were in BK 15 years ago as well.

This is pretty spot on.

The global financial crisis of 2007-2009, coupled with the attempted recovery post 9-11-2001 of the airline sector was just too big of a burden and bankruptcy law was rightfully written for exactly that scenario. "bad business decisions" were not the problem

Include "Frontier Airlines" in that list
