Does it matter if my cover letter has a generic salutation, or is there a particular individual to whom it should be addressed?

What's your advice about addressing the "other applications" question on the interview? I have several applications out and ultimately want a major job, but I don't want to make Frontier seem like a stepping stone. How have those of you with aspirations for the majors answered that question and gotten the offer?
Guys - this is simple. If you know in your heart that you will jump ship as soon as the Legacy calls - and you DO know. Then they will very likely detect the insincerity in your answer wrt why you have other apps out. Conversely, if F9 truly is the star you want to hitch your wagon to then it is very likely they will detect this in your answer, and give you the nod even though OF COURSE you have other apps out.

I personally don't blame anyone for trying to use any company as a stepping stone - even Frontier. Why? Because it is every man/woman's obligation to better themselves, and their financial situation for their own benefit as well as for the one's they love. From a conventional wisdom standpoint, it is obvious that a Legacy is the best answer.

Likewise, a company cannot be blamed for wishing to save costs by mitigating such 'stone-stepping'

If you want to come here and see if this place can become something you'll be proud to ride out till you hang up your wings, then the panel will 'feel' this in you. If you don't then they will feel that too. It isn't rocket science.

Obviously there will always be a minority of innocence that gets indited with the guilty - I feel bad for those of you who really did want to be here and were branded otherwise. Hiring is a human endeavor and has it's flaws. But I believe strongly the F9 hiring process is as good as it gets because they do strive to find out who you really are. If you let them in, and they are able to conclude you are a good dude, then they won't be able to help themselves from hiring you. That is all! There are literally zero games being played.

My understanding is that the first new hire class of the next wave will be in November, so I'm sure calls will be made shortly if they haven't been already.

Any estimates on upgrade times with the potential growth coming down the pike? I mean it is Indigo.

I received a call Monday to interview later in October. I was told to call JA for a date. I left a message and have not recieved a call back as of yet. I'm getting a little nervous waiting for the call back, but very excited for the opportunity. Any advice would be welcomed.
