I heard from a van driver who was told by an FA who was told by a solid inside source that F9 and NK are definitely merging. So, interview with either one!!

While its not far fetched, I would not count that as a liable source.

Feelings are mixed regarding a merge. Indigo still wants to make F9 public and make money from IPO. It would have to be a really sweet deal for them to merge F9 w NK.

When someone asked why Frontier doesn't pay for hotels in training Barley piped up with this gem.

Tell me this person isn't an actual pilot.

I work at Allegiant and we have our own issues, but we don't defend them. I'm disappointed no Frontier pilot called him out.

Ok. Now that frontier isn't the "Denver only" airline it used to be, frontier should pay for hotels during training.

However, with 6000 applications on file...why would they?

In regard to a merger with NK, I do believe it will happen, but no time soon. It will be more than 5 years from now. Probably more like 10.

You missed the point. They aren't going to pay for new hire hotels until the CBA forces them to. Barley is just being realistic, not advocating for current practice.
