Wrong Frontier. You're thinking of the original Frontier that was aquired by people express.

I wasn't even flying back then, but I think Roundup is talking about the same Frontier.

Fascinating, United huh? Maybe someone can get the actual story about the Frontier, United merger of 86. I figure the only reason ALPA made it on to the property was that pretty much all of the old crews are long gone. But there's a lot of us who would cross any United picket line with no hesitation. I know it was a long time ago but a lot of us feel the United MEC purposely derailed the merger attempt by demanding an unacceptable pay package. One lesson we took away was that ALPA will always follow the money, ie; the airline with the most revenue.

Old Frontier is UAL now anyways - just took a little longer.

You would cross a picket line? I have no further use for you....

I live in Denver and I am very interested in Frontier. What type of qualifications does it take to get the phone call?

The minimums listed in the careers section of our website. We hire people right at those minimums, and people well above them. Also if you don't have a "silver bullet" internal rec, going to a job fair seems to help. GL.

June class got it sprung on them the last day of ground school. Everyone was getting ready to go catch flights home and had to listen to the CP tell them how great Frontier is as they read over and signed the contract.

That's not a contract. A contract can not be entered into when one party is forced to sign under duress. You might have to take it all the way, but in the end you would prevail in my opinion. You likely can get compensatory damages from your costs if it comes to taking it all the way.

Bulldog, I figured Roundup was commenting on ALPA's handling of airline v. airline issues in the past. Frontier 2.0 had a number of Frontier 1.0 employees and their children working for it. Some still do work here, but not enough to sway the ALPA merger vote.

Back to our regularly scheduled Management D!ckhead move of the week discussion.

His wording made it sound like it was a present contention, and agree that ALPA may still be a heated topic in a very small corner of the group.

Here's hoping we can get quickly moved on to Frontier 2.3, getting tired of Frontier 2.2

I have an interview scheduled with F9 and I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons if I'm offered a position. Can you guys answer a few questions?

How long is the average training footprint from the beginning of Indoc to the completion of IOE?

Approximately how long are new hires sitting reserve before they can hold a line? Is there any commuter policy for hotels or missed flights?

What's the best guess for projected upgrade times right now?

Training generally takes 7 weeks from class start to the end of sim. The wait for ioe varies but you're paid min guarantee for the duration. Reserve varies on base as well. I'm a DEN FO, and sat 4 months of reserve before I held a relief line but we will see if it continues after the summer months. ORD should be shorter, and MCO shorter still but by how much I'm not sure. Our commuter policy is 2 flights that get you to your domicile prior to your report time but there are no hotels offered for commuters, you're on your own there.

I can't help you with upgrade time but whatever it is, will be likely to change over the coming years anyway.
