And no, there is not plenty of negative information about GoJet out there. Before signing on to GoJet I spent weeks tearing this place up looking for something and found three negative things, which were refuted by several others' accounts. Other than that, it is people just saying it is a horrible airline. Almost as bad as listening to President Trump for information and insight "It's a very bad airline, with very bad people..." Only, I think they found a thesaurus. :) If you only found 3 negative things about Gojet when "tearing this place up" then you might want to do some research on how to research. I found a lot more in just a few minutes. You can also do a search for suits in federal court against Gojet, Trans States Airlines, Trans States Holdings, and Compass; you will find quite a few for small airlines. On a per capita basis I bet they have every other airline beat 10 to one on getting sued. One guy told me, "commuting is a lot easier than being in an interview with Delta trying to explain why the worst airline in the country fired you for going out on medical." |
A year or two is an eternity at the airlines. Places that were terrible places to work turn it around, and vis versa. I have no doubt that GoJet was once terrible from many first hand accounts. But I've been here a year and it's not that bad. Don't get me wrong, there's lots of room for improvement, but this is the best aviation job I've had since the late '90s. A lot of this just has to do with the supply and demand of pilots. Skywest was considered one of the best regionals to work for during the "lost decade", now they're getting 1% pay raises for the foreseeable future willing other airlines can't hand out cash fast enough to their pilots. You just never know.
What bases are junior is a good example of how quickly things change. DTW was junior and was supposed to double in size every month. It stopped at 35 lines and word on the street is that it will actually be cut back. DTW is now senior. Guys are now getting DEN right out of training. RDU was also hard to get. No longer so. DEC got lines in ORD after 9 months. This was never thought possible before, etc.... and I for one never would have imagined a flow to Spirit. So when you research make sure to put more weight on current info, and try to read the tea leaves what will happen in the next year or two. |

Just curious, because I honestly don't know but how much does the pay scale increase each year at GoJet?

How long is left on the contracts with United and Delta? Seems like I remember hearing they are almost up and no talk of renewing. True?

This guy gets it. 30k bonus isn't going to help if they loose the DL contract like ASA. And im guessing most the DL birds are owned by DL...??
The 900s I can't confirm but I've heard they are also owned by DL. |
