Like others, I had my class date at Republic pushed back twice + communication from their HR department has been awful.
Decided to interview with GoJet in early January and had a pleasant experience and have accepted a CJO with a February 21 class date + aiming for EWR base. Not going to wait 7+ months for RPA (I'm sure it'll be more)...heard from friends who are FO's still on reserve there that they haven't flown in more than 3 weeks and are only logging 10-15 hours a month. Not sure if it'll be better at GoJet, but at least I'll be able to start building 121 time instead of constantly waiting. |

The same for me. I received a CJO from Republic in October, and I don't want to wait until quarter 3 of 2023 to go there. I had a December interview with GoJet, and they gave me a January 30th class date. I want to get EWR base, hopefully.

Congrats! The recruiter on the interview said the EWR base would be pretty likely. I’ll be a month behind you, best of luck in training!

I have a kid in my class who didn’t fly for 45 days after getting off OE. They were gonna give him a sim and then send him to take his checkride again Bc he didn’t consolidate. Insane. They don’t even have their own training department, they use flight safety. Still better than YX.
The recruiter at GoJet told me indoc will be in STL and sims/systems will be with CAE in Phoenix |

For GoJet? Either way that doesn't sound great. Agreed though that even though it's GoJet, still better than sitting around for YX

Yup for gojet. Take it with a grain of salt. It’s one person’s experience
All bar 1 of us dequaled in the months post OE. Some didn’t even consolidate in time and went back to the rear of the OE queue. None of us did over 150 hours (including OE) in the year of 2022. Aside from being promised 900 hours by my recruiter, I really have no axe to grind with the company, (thanks for the ATP, Type and travel benefits). I didn’t stick around though and neither did anyone from my class. |

There were 7 or 8 of us with class dates around the end of 2021 who I kept in contact with.

Same exact thing is happening everywhere, I have a few buddies at YX who didn't consolidate and the one who flew the most barely cracked 200 in 12 months, including OE. Reserve times are 10 months+ at YX. At least Gojet has class dates, get your type and apps in

So is it worth taking a class date at GoJet? It seems like there isn't a lot of flying to be done at all there. I had an interview with OO and they told me not to expect classes until June/July for the ERJ or CRJ. Is anyone flying at GoJet now that has had a good experience? I've seen anything but.
Set your expectations: you’ll be on reserve and you won’t be flying much. The same is true being junior anywhere. Like someone else said, there are people who come on here just to rip companies apart, and apparently anyone who’s not doing that is an ‘unofficial recruiter’. My experience: commuting to reserve sucked, Covid sucked, when schedules were weird after Covid for a bit it was rough, but since then I’ve really enjoyed it. Even with Covid and everything, I still got my time to upgrade in a little over 2 years. |
