Elliot,
It's a great question and I applaud you taking the time to realize that Go Jets is not the type of person you want to be... as for how it will effect TSA, the answer is, IT WILL. Even if it never grows, at the very least they will be used as a way to reduce your wages and work rules becauses the fear will be hung over the TSA pilots by management.
Unless you are dying to stay at one of their bases, there are too many choices right now. Eagle is a quality carrier so is Skywest (just vote yes for ALPA when you get there) and ASA and Comair in the long run will be good again. Exjet is good and I hear the the Freedom/Chitq guys are pretty good too.
That's my advice,

Yes, and the Mesa pilots took it on the chin to integrate freedom into their group. TSA didn't budge, or was never given the chance, (it all depends on which side you hear) and management did their thing.

As I understand it the Gojet pilots have requested union representation. Seems like it might not be a bad way to deal with management.

Didnt you all hear that GoJet has 65 firm orders on new EMB 190s to do branded flying out of St. Louis, its going to be the new JetBlue, you should apply now to get some good seniority on the new "low cost carrier"! Jet Blue Schmet Blue, Air Tran Scmare Tran. SkyBus????? say what! Go Jet will be the place to be 5 years!
I was just kidding man, i dont wanna win! I like to imagine Jesus with Eagle wings, singing lead vocals for lynrd skynrd, with an angel band! And I am in the front row hammered drunk!

gojet is union. the original 5 pilots (the guys that walked away from their TSA brothers) and their teamsters were recognized by TS holdings before the company took delivery of an airframe. nice strong, stick-it-to-the-man setup there.

However, having the pilots of that new company vote for unionization so quickly is a good thing. The harder that they make it for the managment groups to pull this type of thing off in the future.

won't really make it all that much harder for management to do, they simply have to look a little more to find the loop holes in the contract...eventually, gojet will get one, but remember transstates had a contract that specifically prevented such a thing as an alter ego airline from being started...but, the judge didn't see gojet as being an alter ego, instead it was a totally separate company...i mean comon' they have separate websites.
