If we suffered to the same degree then I certainly would not work here. However, I did compare the outrageously ignorant group of Americans who denied equal rights to African Americans to the outrageously ignorant group of pilots who have no evidence to support the claims that they make concerning GoJet.

This is the very reason that I don't make many posts on this or any forum. People don't understand how to read prose objectively and they end up taking the posts far out of context. Why do you think there is so much bickering on this forum? It’s not just about the GoJet issue. It’s about anything and everything that anybody says.

SLAVES DIDN'T HAVE A CHOICE! You did. Nuff said.

No one here is having any more difficulty finding employment at other airlines than any other qualified pilot out there. There is no list of all the pilots who fly here and even if one existed, it would not hinder your career. The people who care about this kind of thing are the kind of people who come to work, do as little as possible, and go home. So what are the details of this amazing CBA that you stellar guys and gals voted in?

I am very familiar with the Go-Jets/TSA issue. I am also somewhat familiar with the Mesa/Freedom issue - I believe it was an alter ego thing just like Go-Jets. My question is that I have seen people write about "Freedom A-listers" which implies that not ALL of the Freedom pilots suck...just the "A-listers". Do you ever envision "Go-Jet A-listers" or will all Go-Jet pilots be viewed equally?

Thanks - not familiar enough with the Mesa/Freedom thing.

If TSA ever gets the flying back and both groups fall under one seniority list, maybe. It doesn't do much for the guys who went there before that would happen though...F.A.G.'s and G.A.L.'s, wonder if they'll all go shopping at the mall, drink cosmo's together, and say 'hey girlfriend' when the pass in the terminal?

Freedom A = the original pilots (mostly mesa pilots) who willingly and eagerly participated in the Freedom whip-saw in order to get ahead of their fellow mesa pilots to fly CRJ 900s (out of seniority).

After MAG alpa forced the integration of the freedom pilots back into mesa, management effectively shut freedom down and transferred all the aircraft back to mesa. A couple years later, the freedom operating certificate was resurrected to use for DAL regional flying...the NEW freedom pilots were (and still are) all legitimate members of MAG alpa. Freedom, or Freedom B, refers to the current pilots who are legit. Their only connection is that they happen to be flying on the same operating certificate that was originally used for Freedom A (the airplanes are different also).

Since Gojet is still an alter-ego operation, all gojet pilots have the same status as Freedom A.

The plight of African-Americans in the past should not be used as analogy for the benefit of gojet. Not anywhere near the same level.

Do you have the new GoJet pay scale? Or are you unwilling to post it here?

ToiletDuck 08-08-2007 09:43 PM

Regardless of what it is it means nothing if they are as accurate with it as Mesa is.

You have a contract that will not be enforced due to evil management and a weak union that will take your money and not fight for you.

You have cass, but many many regional captains would never let you sit in the back, let alone the cockpit.

As time passes, more and more regional pilots will move to the majors. You will experience first hand the negative effects of having GoJet on your resume.

Everyone, from the highly motivated to the underachievers, has an opinion on gojets. Every opinion is negative in one way or the other. I have NEVER heard anyone say "They are OK in my book." or "I have nothing against them."

I completely agree with your advice to regional hopefuls. Research each company and know the facts. I can assure you that if you do, you will not even consider working for GoJet.
