First off, the obvious discussion is "How did your airline begin?" As far as GoJets is concerned this is a land mine that I won't even start to discuss. Second is pay. Almost all of today's "premier" regionals have fought long and hard for their current contracts. Giving here, taking there. As far as the comment about taking the majors flying away, there are other threads dedicated to this subject in particular. The way your question is written leads one to believe that you are defending GoJets, and are trying to seek justification as to why not join their team. If, after reading all the threads on this site, (including how most GoJet pilots hide their I.D.'s on the crew vans) you still feel the need to join this company, Good luck in all your endeavors.

No they don't. I know several pilots at that airline and I have asked them that very question. All said, no, they have never heard of that.

For the new guys, I will be offering right seat time for only 98 bucks per hour. Think of it, in one year you will have 900 hours of 737 time for only $88,200 and you will be SUPER hireable!

What's different in that than going to some place and buying multi-engine time? People do that all the time in order to boost their hours to become hirable. IN FACT, why even go to a regional? They are all undercutters. Stay a flight instructor for 3000+ hours and hope you can meet a KingAir pilot who will let you log some time on the 91 segments of their flights and just go straight to the Legacy carries when you get it all done. This way you can really feel good about "doing the right thing"

Pantera, I'm just cuirous, if this is really how you feel why does your position read; Underpaid FO?

fbh

that has been on there since before I was at G7, all of us are underpaid no matter where you are or what regional you work for.

It's not even about the whole history of GJ anymore, it's about undercutting other regionals. The pay is already well below of what we deserve, the last thing we need is more clowns going to places like GJ just to get their TPIC time (which I believe will be history in a few years anyway).

You went to whatever company you're at with perpetual gear swinging hopes, eh? Spare us your speculation on future hiring requirements.

Regionals are internships. Every one of them.

O and hes pretty disappointed with the fact they are flying for Delta now, does not think too highly of them, it is also a scope issue but thats besides the point. Just because were noobies doesnt mean were clueless.

Thank you. Trust me, being at a regional is one thing, but being at a regional created to actually undercut another regional inside the same holding corp is an entire other bear that needs to be put to an end NOW. I am not going to argue regional's taking mainline flying, that is outside anyones control, except the scope clause of the mainline guys. The commuters/regionals are a building block of this career period, but creating new companies inside a company just to screw people, sure sounds like scab type stuff if you ask me.

Pantera-

Weird! It shows that you are not accepting PM messages.

Funny Gojet took in a lot of United furloughs knowing that they would be recalled. Are those guys scum too?? You can't have it both ways.
