Although I admire your zeal, who rides on the JS is the CA's decision to make, NOT the FO's. Careful engaging in a one man/FO jumpseat jihad.

While it is their decision, most of them have some measure of respect for what I have to say. He's absolutely within his rights to tell me to cool it, but I don't think most guys would.

If the CA you're flying with is on your JS committee, you sure you'd feel it's your place to tell him who he can take? You really think he's gonna care if you pout the rest of the trip because he did what he's obligated to do. You know, honor a reciprocal JS agreement.

I'd tell him what I think. Oh and another thing........there should be no reciprocal jumpseat agreement with those scumbags. So I'd be happy to have a few hours to discuss the matter with him.

Again, I admire your zeal. But let's pretend that your airline's JS committee says "OK, we're not longer engaged in a JS agreement with GoJets airlines. We don't carry them, they no longer carry us".

Sure will suck if there's guys at your shop that use them to get to work or home. May not be the case now, but with they're expansion, may start being the case in the future. You have to be careful how and where you poop. Or rather, careful where you choose to fight the battle.

A few CA's at my employer decided to "take a stand" with the JS. Didn't do some of they're coworkers any favors in the process. But hey, I'm sure if made them feel better about themselves by denying a GoJets pilot the JS, and screwing over the guys he flies with in the process.

Yeah your'e absolutely right and there's unintended consequences with almost any decision you might make. To me it's an issue of whether we're willing to make a decision based on conviction that may not be totally free of negative consequences. I'm willing to never ride a Gojet airplane ever again for the rest of my life. I realize that not everyone is my exact situation and there might be a price to pay, but to me it's the "right" thing to do.

So, Basically there was a group of pilots who broke the Unity at TSA & joined GoJet.... Did pilots from other places also join GOJET back then???

Are you for real!!! I'm pretty sure the moment you explain to the CA the way GoJets was created and what they are all about, they will agree with you. With ACARS it is sooooo easy to deny the j/s. In the past it was easy to blame a loss of flying to the DCI shuffle. With this new GoJets bid, it is easy to see why they got the flying.
