And I think you mean airline not airline"s", they affected one airline and that was TSA. The one that has furloughed me twice now

No I mean plural, where do you think they got these 700s for this service? Not TSA...

You have got to be kidding me. How do you think anyone got the flying they have? Get over it, you were out bid. With that logic, Horizon guys have the right to be ****ed at Skywest. And Mesa guys have the right to be ****ed at Skywest.. Find another argument...

You do realize I am on the TSA side with this subject correct? I guess I needed to make it more obvious that it's ALL about TSA getting screwed, not the fact that Scumjet is failing at their newest undercutting venture (which is entertaining) O and last I checked ASA doesnt have Saabs...

We could be playing semantics, but I would imagine they got these 700's from the owners, not the leesors. FWIW

From who? Delta is already maxed out at 76 seater, so it won't be from them.

Couldn't big D just shuffle around some 900's?

Once again, who are they coming from? Just becuase they can doesn't mean they are going to do it. Besides, if Delta wanted to move them around who says GJ is going to get it?

Don't believe everything you hear during an interivew. Sounds like the same BS I heard in 2006 about how we were going to get a new contract soon along with some 700's that Northwest was going to order. No 700's ever showed up, and it took another 5 years to get a new contract.

I heard that you guys giving those planes to another carrier after a year is also a very good possibility. Especially since your company bid them at a loss

GoJet will not get 900's or more 700's unless they're transferred from another regional. There is no room under the max limit of large RJs. They are maxed out.

DTW aka Detroit NOT LGA.

It is entertaining because they screwed other airlines and they can't even deliver on their word.

Eh... Don't worry. Being able to read isn't a requirement to be hired at GJ.

Either way, most of the flights they are suppose to operate out of DTW for DL are canceled for the rest of the week.

Off to go a good start!

.....apparently you can't read too well either champ. It's supposeD to. Theres a d at the end.

Off to GO a good start? What does that even mean? I'm sure you meant 'off to a good start'.

What were the requirements when you got hired at your current employer?

I'm no scholar, nor am I Apc spell check. Proper/improper grammar here doesn't bother me one bit. It never will. It's a forum. College is over.

But if you're going to bash another's literary ability, make sure yours is impeccable.

Yes! I did mean "off to a good start". Not sure why my phone typed Go, but I appreciate the correction and will make the necessary adjustment to my iPhone.

Either way, if nothing was suppose to start until the 25th, why are the flights loaded into Delta.com? You guys already got 2 of the airframes. Oh well, blame Delta for now I guess.

See ya in DTW.... Sometime.

All the employee group is told is that the airframes needed mx.

RgrMurdock 01-14-2012 05:55 AM

You guys broke them already?!?! Lol

GT4JB96 01-14-2012 07:45 AM

They are down in JAX having a c check completed...flying starts on the 25th

Natca 01-14-2012 10:28 AM

The previous leaser decided not to complete the checks and stripped the ACARS's

Probably the ACARS they paid for.

If an expensive check wasn't required per an agreement why would you throw money at it? I'm sure as heck not getting my oil changed before I trade in my car... That's not even a C check analogy... I'm not getting my top end rebuilt before I trade my car in, how's that?

Thank You ASA. Nice work!

jumpseat2024 01-31-2012 04:08 AM

I'd bet a shiny penny that they undercut everyone post-AMR bankruptcy and start flying under Eagle or Connection..or whatever..colors

Those aircraft were built for and delivered to Comair, so no factory ACARS.

If ASA and SKW popped for ACARS boxes when they got those planes from Comair in 2006, then they probably wanted them back before Delta moved the planes again.

That wouldn't suprise me. With those pay rates compared to other regionals. They can undercut anyone.

KingBird50 01-31-2012 05:14 AM

interestingly enough G7 pays more then ASA who we got the planes from, that is according to this website. So how do you all figure we pay less??

King,
Your overall labor is cheaper. Your most sr CA on property is probably from 04, unlike ASA. Plus benefits, which I assume are better at ASA

Natca 01-31-2012 06:46 AM

Its a bit less though a G7 as seniority progress per year for a raise.

I think you need to look past what the hourly pay rate is. Lets compare contracts, duty rigs, etc. Then we can judge who's bigger.

i think you mean - are we going to be getting paid turbo prop wages for flying the 900. that's a more important question.

our current pay scale is for a/c that have 55-80 seats.

KingBird50 01-31-2012 07:57 AM

So what you are saying is that say Joe the Plumber wants to start a new airline and contract out as a DCI carrier. It is unfair since he does not pay his pilots 20 year pay. So Joe being the nice guy and wants to play on a level field should pay higher wages so as not to be competition to ASA or whomever. Airlines are a cutthroat business the faster you learn that the better off you will be. List of defunct airlines of the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Great pay and the highest of respect from all other airline pilots. I'd say it's a dream job. Well just look how much Trans States guys/girls would like to thank you for bringing respect to the crazy industry.
Good thing is once all you eager FOs get some time and maybe an upgrade Falcon Air is always looking for some good people.

You know if all you people really care about your profession then you might want to get together and make ONE union. Sure the airlines don't want this and it would be tough. Do it! Our profession is the worst when it comes to experience. No other profession on earth takes a reduction in pay just to start over. Who wants to start ONE UNION?????????

Hasnt that already been done? You know that one union that you guys deviated around? You guys proved why one union will never happen because people have their own agendas.
