If Mesaba was still seperate before it was operated by Pinnacle. You wouldn't have to worry about it, since I believe Mesaba and GJ never had an agreement. Now that it's operated by Pinnacle, there's an agreement. At least you still get the final say if the pilot gets on or not.

What really bothers me is G7 pilots coming up to you and acting like they are entiled to the j/s... its not a bloody entilement, its a professional courtesy. If more of their pilots understood that and stopped trying to sneak into the back of the aircraft without even saying hi. I have to find out from the gate agent that my passenger count includes a jumper and I never saw one step up and introduce themselve. Its always the G7 guys that have pulled that trick. NOW WHY IS THAT???

Because they're "HoJets" riding the coat tails of other pilots demise. All for 1/2 the pay....

While I don't endorse nor critisize GoJet, you have no credibility whatsoever to bash another regional. The day Colgan pilots find out who you really are, don't be surprised if they hold you down and beat you with bars of soap like they did "Pvt Pyle" in the movie Full Metal Jacket!

Its too bad this happens so often. I've had the same experience a couple times this last year to either ord or stl. Its frustrating as he*l, they seem to be the only pilot group to pull this crap.

Both of you are full of it. There are NO G7 pilots that pull that crap. As a Pilot for G7 I allow all jump seaters on no matter what. You kids that are trying to make waves are a bunch of cow dung!

if they do exist as you say they do, they're an embarrassment. there's no excuse for ignoring professional courtesy. if and when any of you do catch them ducking into the cabin, pull them off the airplane. they'd deserve it.

the majority of the pilot group isn't like that. painting them all with that brush isn't accurate.

So you know everyone who commute at GJ and what they do and don't when they J/S. to say NO ONE does it is BS. I'll bet there are a few guys at my company that does it.

Okay KingBird.... No G7 pilot has pulled that crap. The next time that happens, I am taking the pilots name and J/S request slip from him and then for your proof I will either PM you with his/her employee number and flight number that he/she tried to sneak on and you can ask what the devil they were doing to ruin your good airline name......I know that this gives a bad name to every G7 pilot, but fact is fact your pilots that commute to ORD are notorius and have been ungrateful SOBs. I would never deny anyone a ride home or to work.... but if you act like you are entiled to my bloody jumpseat Good luck!!. There are few things that I can deny anyone on a flight, that is one I hold dearly to my heart.

Just make sure they are a J/S and not a non rev. Even when I am non reving I go to the front office and say hello so they do not think I am sneaking in the back. I always say I am with G7 and have never had any issues. I am sure that with any airline there are cowards that sneak around. But as some on here would say that G7 does it more is a bunch of B.S. period! I really don't care who you are trying to get on my J/S I would let them as long as they are legal to do so. We are all just trying to get home or get to work in this miserable industry. But if I ever did get denied because someone has the hots for G7 then the J/S war will start and I will deny everyone at that airline. So reap what you sow.

no you won't. this has proven to be ineffective. if you are denied a ride, call the company. don't reciprocate with a 'jumpseat' war against another carrier. nothing good will come out of that.

I feel the need to point out that your dog in this fight is that no-one should treat ALL G7 pilots a certain way due to the acts of a few. Then, in the very same post you state that if ONE single pilot denies you a jumpseat you will retaliate on his ENTIRE airline..... That's priceless.

This is not a target specific to you...oh wait yes it is...when you non-rev and come up to the "front office" to check in you are doing something that I find annoying. I am trying to do a job and you are interupting us. We don't care that you are non-rev'ing. Take your boarding pass and keep on moving. I love to talk to JUMPSEATERS, not the alternative.

an ASA FO did this on a G7 flight....this morning. it happens at all airlines.
