Why you shouldn't hate GoJet pilots
I know the immediate reaction to this post may be emotional, it may be to call me out, flame me, block me, or close this thread. But, hear me out and try to engage in a mature constructive dialog with me here.
Right off the bat, I'll say that I don't have anything to do with GoJet. I'm not a TSA pilot, nor a GoJet pilot (heck, I don't think I've ever even met one). I used to share the same feelings that most of us do towards GoJet, but I've come to the following realization.
From what I understand about the whole situation, the hate for GoJet pilots stems from their undercutting Trans States pilots and "taking" "their" flying. Flying they believe they've worked hard for and sacrificed long to have. Sure there are more small details, but thats the overall situation.
I don't think any pilot who has ever been at a regional airline that flies outsourced flying has any room to stand on to hate GoJet. GoJet pilots simply did to Trans States pilots what every single regional airline pilot has done to mainline pilots. They took advantage of weak scope and a harsh management team to gain flying/opportunities/etc at the expense of lower pay.
Every argument made against a GoJet pilot can be made against every regional airline pilot. They didn't do anything worse than what any of the others have. The flying they're blamed for taking wasn't even taken from the Trans States pilots in the first place, it was taken away from United pilots with the Trans States pilots thinking they would be the benefactors. A lot of it may be emotional, people who have a tough life always like to project their problems onto others and have someone to look down upon, with GoJet being an easy target.
It sucks. Its a horrible game we're all playing, but GoJet pilots are playing the same game everyone else is. From now on, I will solely look at them as I do any other outsourced pilots.

No National Seniority List
No Relief
Simple as that. The management teams understand the "love of flying" and they will continue to abuse that "love" forever. Without a national seniority list each individual local Union along with it's national - will be up against airline management that is more than willing to delay negotiations until they declare CH 11 and then let the courts do what they could not - Destroy salary and benefits packages in a continuous race to the bottom.
Blaming the guy making $25K a year instead of "the system" is a circle jerk.
Now where the hell did I put my fly rod?

Comparing mainline scope when it comes to giving flying to the regionals with TSA scope and the creation of Gojet is like comparing apples and oranges.

A GoJet pilot (heck, I don't think I've ever even met one). thats because they turn their IDs around in the terminal or don't bother stopping in the flightdeck to say hello while non-revving.

They were specifically formed by THE SAME COMPANY to screw over a pilot group
I don't think any pilot who has ever been at a regional airline that flies outsourced flying has any room to stand on to hate GoJet. We hate GJ because they were formed to undercut a pilot group who tried for a better QOL.
Every argument made against a GoJet pilot IS justified
There ya go
