CaptainCarl needs to get a life. The GoJet thing doesn't matter to anybody at the legacies. Sh*t, most of my connections in the industry don't even know half of the regionals out there today, and still think of them all as a place to get 1000TPIC in a matter of 2 years and bail...

The whole badge thing too...What is with that? 99% of the time my badge is accidentally turned around anyways without me noticing. Guess high school really never ends.

Had a Gojet fo on my jumpseat to STL yesterday. Nice guy, been there one year. Said the upgrades are going about that long over there.

Unless G7 gets anymore new flying the quick upgrade has IMHO come to a screeching halt. They are hiring for attrition and they are actively looking for new flying. However in comparison to other airlines the time to upgrade is still much shorter than any other regional. If you have the time chances are that upgrade will be under a year. New hire bases are hit and miss but the nice thing about G7 is they will let you try to bid for the base you want every month and if there is an opening you will get it. If you have to be at a regional G7 is a good place to be.

Also, in a few months, TSA will be upgrading 2012 hires due to many of the recent newhires not having the time to upgrade... If you have the time, why not avoid the controversy entirely? TSA > G7

I think TSA isn't a bad place to be at all. I have met many great TSA guys/ gals. IMHO each person has to choose which place is best for you and your family.

I have seen numerous examples in just the past few months that would disprove that. I've also watched a good number of gojet jumpseaters left behind because of what their alter-ego airline stands for. (From both mainline and regional carriers). Maybe fewer mainline guys care, but there are those that do. (And the number is growing every day as more regional guys move up and educate their co-workers)
Guess who's got interviews lined up?
Thanks for your advice.
