New uniform rollout. Maybe it's more nautical and complementary of beards?

why pilots should be able to wear beards or anything they want to wear .
Should pilots be allowed to go naked? What about wearing a ku klux klan outfit? Grizzly Adams beard, or how about the ZZ-top look? Tattoos all over the face? Metal in the lips and nose and eyelids, and maybe a safety pin or two? How about a mohawk? Wear anything, you say? |

Even the Yankees gave up on their archaic beard rule. |
Still twiddling my thumbs waiting for this to happen. It will eventually. Why delay the inevitable?

Nice. A good improvement in my opinion. Hope more airlines follow suit.

Nice that you base your entire airline career on the fact on whether you can have a beard or not.

At pax airlines, pilot appearance is part of the branding. That has significant value to management. If they don’t like beards, for whatever reason, the cost to get them will be too high. Pax airlines like Hawaiian, Alaska, Jet Blue, Allegiant, Silver, Avelo, etc..... where beards are allowed and it didn't cost the pilots their precious money? . |

Alaska will allow beards in Oct 2024.
Getch yer apps in... The company didn't follow through on this announcement, presumably since hiring stopped about a year ago. Still have to do JCBA with HAL, so who knows what will fall out of that. |
