[QUOTE=Flatspin7;140462]Honestly I always thought the Jetblue pilot uniform looks like a flight attendant uniform... I have problems telling the difference!

I think they look more like Long JONH SILVER fry cooks, only thing missing is the white hat ( but I heard that's coming).

As far as pay per seat or pay per flight hour, I blow any of you out of the water... and I'm flying a SLOWTATION!

The negativity around here is getting tiresome. We can poke fun at each other in good humor, but some people take things way too far and way over the top. The truth is that companies will pay what the market can bear. I don't blame JetBlue or Mesa pilots for working for less than other carriers. I blame the national unions for allowing it to happen in the first place.

Until we as a profession can realize our worth (both individually and collectively), there will always be a "new player" with "great potential" that picks up low time/experience players for sub industry pay/conditions.
The real problem with your statement blaming unions is that JetBlue is non-union and are counter-productive to bringing the industry back to where it should be.

Sadly there is no real effort to unionize at JetBlue because the 5 year individual contract has them all worried about losing thier sub-standard job if they are blacklisted for trying to improve it.

That's why the individual service contract is so brilliant from a management point of view. Sign a union card, you're done when you contract is up. Apparently, there's plenty of young guys who don't value the industry lining up to take your job.

Pathetic, but brilliant.

The company can't legally fire any pilot who signs a union card. Nor do they know who actually did.

Of course, they can't fire them. They can, however, fail to renew their contract at the end of 5 years. And, if you don't think managers don't have informants telling them every single name on every union card, you're living in a dream world.

V-pee, what are you against unionization now? Instead of being a 'doom and gloomer' telling us how its impossible for B6 to unionize, why don't you be productive and join the fight? Or at least support those who are. Instead of stabbing them in the back with defeatist comments.
