[quote=FlyerJosh;143523]Were treading on grounds where aircraft security is coming into play and some info just doesn't need to be said on a public forum.
I agree.

Join the program (FFDO) and find all the answers you need.

Sorry, it just seems really stange to me that a pilot is not allowed to deal with a disturbance, especially if it is coming from a lav way back in coach. If a single pilot cannot leave the cockpit during a major problem, then there is no point in having FFDO's. Minus well turn in their guns and stop funding that program.
Are you a 121 guy? Obviously not. The PIC thing is FAA...but that is superseded by VERY specific national security rules which are VERY clear and applicable in this case. If the PIC deviates from the rules he has to be able to justify it, and there is simply no possible way to do that in this case.

Also remember that the PIC authority is in regards to safety of flight...in this case nationaly security actually has a higher priority, so even safety of flight would not be a legitimate excuse. Flight 93...

There's a great TSA thread somewhere on here....90% of "fake" material used to test for accuracy in screening got through according to one of the articles.

Just quoting the statistic from that article, please carry on
