HRC told WV/OH voters your coal jobs aren't coming back... Trump lied and said they were coming back... the coal jobs are not back...

There is the adage... hurt me with the truth, don't comfort me with a lie...

Who is the fool? HRC or the Trump voter thinking his coal job is back...
Those jobs are coming back, coal mining is the source of Thorium supplies for next generation in power. The coal is then discarded instead of burned into the atmosphere.

Thorium, which is more commonly available than uranium, has potential in the nuclear fuel family, but the processes are complex and not technically developed yet.

But the real issue now isn't uranium availability, it's the political feasibility of nuclear power.

If nuke power were politically feasible, thorium would certainly be a good fuel component for a modern, new-tech reactor.

At least a couple people who post here understand.

Its a losing battle Checklist, but I admire your perserverence.

That's true for Gen IV reactors, but CANDU reactors, which are in operation now, can use thorium. The problem there is completely political as you state.

The things they are "shooting for" are something that needs to be "Fear mongered".

Most of those things are liberal idealistic priorities. They will literally never be a reality. There are some things that I agree with. Why shouldn't we be striving for being carbon neutral? Why shouldn't we place an emphasis on renewables? Why can't we research viable high-speed rail between high density populations? If you are scared of that, maybe you should just sit in your bomb shelter and polish your guns. I hear the liberals are coming after them.

The problem is it's not just about "Striving for being carbon neutral. Placing an emphasis on renewables. Research viable high-speed rail between high density populations". Those are 3 bullet points in a long list of BAD ideas. The "Money for not working", Carbon taxes, 70% income taxes.

Also yes, the democrats are making strides to restrict gun rights.

That wasn’t the issue. The issue was hubris.

If she’d just had the restraint to pass on the “deplorables” comment at a fundraiser where everyone was going to support her anyway in a State she was going to win overwhelmingly anyway, but she didn’t and she offended enough people who otherwise might have voted for her - or at least simply stayed home - to put him over the top. But instead of simply being respectful she had to demean a bunch of people in an era where everyone has a videcamera in their pocket.

So who was the fool? My vote’s on Hillary.
