Default How to copy text messages

For reasons that even I myself do not understand, I would like to copy or transfer some text messages from my Samsung S8 phone into an email. I have Googled this endlessly, but cannot find a simple way to do it.

Does anyone know how I can do this? Surely there is a way for a techless simpleton like me. Thanks.

On an LG G7 (Android) YMMV:

Touch and hold desired message until it highlights. Then, tap menu (3 vertical dots) in the upper right of the screen.

Select "Share"... A list of pertinent apps will display

Choose app you want to use.

Tadaaa..

Or screenshot

Thanks for your help.

I tried the touch and hold, and it Shirley worked! My next question is how to touch and hold a string of texts. I touched and held four texts and it wouldn't highlight. Basically, I would like to copy and paste the entire text string between me and another person.

What do you mean by "screenshot?"

I don’t speak Andriod, but on the I-phone, you can literally take a picture (screen shot) of what is displayed on the screen, using the onboard camera. Another option may be using another device’s camera to take a pic
of the texts...

Again on an LG G7, press-and-holding the power button and the volume down button simultaneously will capture the screen as a picture file which can be attached to an email.

And stop calling me Shirley.

Tangental thread drift:

As I write this, I am in the waiting room at the Doc's while my wife is getting her routine, yearly mammogram.

Considering the procedure, I think the quote "I just want to tell you both good luck; we're all counting on you" is especially appropriate.

Keeping my fingers and eyes crossed. The new fangled 3D mammography provides a vast improvement in visualization, and reduces call backs. I know that from personal experience.

So, you can tell me, I'm a lawyer.
