Default value your home w/this site

similar to www.zillow.com, but cool in its own right: http://www.cyberhomes.com/

oh- the numbers do seem pretty high, at least with a few houses I've looked up.

Thanks, Tech, for another interesting find. As with all things created by man and backed by a database, caveat emptor. I entered our house and it said it has only 1 bathroom when I know darn well and sure that it has 2.5!

The values are kind of off--We were looking at that in a real estate class I took awhile ago. Its a fun "tool."

Zillow seems to be a bit more accurate as far as value goes. It was only about $10k off what the county says my house is worth.

are you sure it has 2.5baths? I am pretty sure everything on the internet is true.

Its only as accurate as the database / information is pulls from.

Anyway, how does one get into real-estate investment?

The site was $25,000 less that what I paid for the home 4 years ago...and $35,000 less than what the county says for tax purposes. My neighbors home just sold for $75,000 more than the estimated value on the site (only because it was the original owner and hasn't been updated yet). I would estimate that the site was only $100k low in my case. Neat site though - Zillow seems more accurate. ALL of these sites kind of give me the creeps - hugely intrusive.
