you are advertising a service to the public. Even if you tell one person and they tell one person and it goes around by word of mouth you are liable. It will put you into the part 135 realm and then you will have to link to all of the part 135 FARS listed above

True. The courts have determined that word of mouth is considered a form of holding out, because you are 'willing to accept anyone's offer for flight.' Thus a 135 operation.
