Global Warming-Test Your Knowledge

Yes, of course I understand the use of analogy, but I must say it was such a poor one I had to poke a little fun. Please don't forget it though, I am very interested in the analogy you make comparing mankind to a disease and I would like to hear what else you have to say on this and wonder if you could expand a little on that theme.
You 'must say' what you 'must say'...Thanks for that. I'll bet you're a blast to hang out with over a beer. But I'll save my thoughts for a 'more dumber' crowd... I obviously can't "match your wits" any better than Mr. Gore. Good luck with being really smart and, of course, with your global warming research!

I know it's not my place to get in between you and Jungle but I always appreciate honesty and acceptance when I see it. I agree, he would be a cool cat to hang out with! And forgive me, I didn't read every post, but is Jungle doing research on warming? Also, one of the pages on the link I posted is down and I can't figure out why.
It's the ecosystems page.

I have very much enjoyed reading the responses to this simple little quiz. Diversity is the the driving force in many of man's efforts. Political thought is often the human struggle against logic. Arrogant bureaucrats are no longer satisfied with the regulation of human behavior, they now seek to regulate the Earth and Solar system. I have to chuckle and remember that there is truely nothing new under the sun.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the coming years. I have resigned myself to an attitude of amusement at the folly of man and his efforts to make things right.

until the greenhouse effect is proven to be the cause of global warming and no longer a "widely accepted theory" perhaps our efforts to better ourselves and our planet should be utilized in other means...
you can prove acid rain though... that's why we use basecoat/clearcoat paint on cars now instead of enamel. If you paint a car using enamel paint now you can see very very small spots from acid rain if the car isn't dried immediately. No these aren't water spots. Acid rain is being combatted with new Ultra low sulfur diesel and clean coal technology.
you can prove and document earth's temps over periods of time but no one has yet to prove that the "greenhouse effect" is the cause of global warming....as opposed to say the sun (which we know very little) or earth's natural cycle... wasn't there an ice age a long time ago and dinosaurs and all kinds of non modern day life that existed and were destroyed...not by burning fossil fuels?
but thus far the argument for the greenhouse effect as the cause of global warming is correlation...not causation
and has yet to be PROVEN
Just my two cents...
and with all this CO2 in the air, shouldn't my grass be growing better than it is?
