Default Most Accurate Weather App (iPhone)?

From your experience, do you have a favorite weather app that has been the most accurate in terms of forecasts related to precipitation (Snow, rain, ice, etc.)?

Thanks!

Google: “[City Name] Weather” for that far out

Accuweather seems to be my go to. Other than that I always check “AeroWeather” for the taf to get a good idea of today and tomorrow.

As a bonus- look into “windy” “turbulence” and “MyRadar”.

I love Dark Sky. Pretty accurate for local stuff when it will rain etc. down to the min and for how long.

I prefer to ask a passenger to call their uncle at the destination and ask him what the weather is like.

Windy is great, it’s got a lot of great information. I’ll be testing it out to see how it fares since there are 4 different forecast models included.

MyRadar is also good. I think they’re gearing up to improve the UI so that should make things better.

AeroWeather looks like a good app. Any issues with it? I’m always a bit leery when I see less than say 1K downloads

Surprisingly, even though I like the design and interface, Dark Sky has given me abysmal results in my local area. A day before 2 inches of snow on the ground it claims there will be no precipitation. Then while it’s snowing it suddenly shows that it’s snowing.

Accuweather can be finicky like that too, although it’s a lot more accurate than Dark Sky. For example, if Accuweather sees precipitation on radar it will claim that it’s going to snow while disregarding temperatures and dew points. And sure enough, it doesn’t snow. So there seems to be a disconnect.
