You call in sick immediately after getting assigned flying, they might decided to dig. If they did and they notice that you were nowhere near the callout window? You’re gonna have a bad time.
Calling out sick after a reserve assignment will get scrutiny, best to not be noticeably out of position. Rec travel or posting epic vacay pics on social media while sick can be bad, if anyone happens to be looking. |

With apple, turning it "off" is not enough. It's "off" to you, but it's still on, still knows where it is, and that data can be accessed when you use it later. Or maybe the actual owner/administrator (the company) can ping it when it's "off", they do have that "find my device" feature. The other thing that I loved was he kept the cockpit door closed at all times. It was closed during boarding and long sits and it was so quiet and peaceful. He didn’t like anyone looking in and he felt more secure. I wish more CA’s would do that.
