Sure there is. It’s called mentorship. Don’t have to be an overbearing prick about it, but a simple course correction early in one’s 135/121 career is sometimes all that is needed. There are lots of piston only/CFI types showing up in the right seats of regional airline cockpits now. They don’t know their ass from a hole in the ground. Just coach em up, and these issues won’t be issues at all.

Try flying with a 20 year wide body Capt who wants to get a weather deviation over Asia.
