I think Andy's real name is Anatoly, and Sonic's real name is Sergei given the hilarious about of Russian propaganda being pushed as fact here on this AIRLINE PILOT forum.

I'm glad the admin has allowed this page to become a political forum. Because the world really needed another place for people to sling political mud.

Save face and shut this dumpster fire down.

Of course I can. But I reject the assertions because they are nonsensical. Russia is purportedly a 21st century capitalistic democracy involved in the global economy. And a nuclear one at that. Why would Europe and the US be interested in imperial expansion there? What could be worth the loss of life associated with a Russian invasion?

Because Russia has massive resources and they don't kowtow to western economic influencers. As a result there is a push to bring Russia "under control" by western leadership. This stuff ain't hard to figure out.

No the Russian government aren't the good guys, but neither is the US government, NATO, or the Ukrainian government.

I see it both ways.

I think you are buying into the urgency too much.

Traditional republicans see that most of the Ukrainian aid is actually just boosting the DOD budget and they have always supported that.

The democrats are historically weak on foreign policy and see a Russian withdrawal as a huge win for their party politics for many years to come.

Vietnam was urgent, Iraq was urgent, North Korea has nukes now, the hype in the moment is so hard to retain into the future. Fear of the unknown motivates a since of urgency that is difficult to explain.

Your kinda making it sound like this is Hitler invading Poland and if we had been there to give Poland aid all of WW2 would never have happened.

China is still out there, and if we keep giving Ukraine aid then it needs to come from domestic spending or a new tax. Just having unlimited unfunded blank checks is not sustainable.

This is such a BS talking point. Border "arrests" are at an all time high, but idiots who don't know how to read statistics think that's a bad thing.

Given that apprehensions are “catch and release” it is indeed a bad thing, and you don’t need a year of graduate level statistics (which I happen to have) to realize that.

I noticed you didn't say degree. That's hilarious.

A border crossing counts when a subject is detained. Everyone is complaining that USBP is actually doing a better job this year and collecting more. What they do to these people after detention is subject to law.

You didn't have to self-identify like this.

Ten credits of it was a distribution requirement for my masters. I took the third quarter because I found it interesting and could fit it around the other degree requirements.

I’m pleased it amused you since if you are a US taxpayer you paid for it. It was an AFIT course on military orders and pay. Getting PAID as well as accruing time in service for retirement was pretty sweet.

I, unlike others on this website, don't begrudge anyone for their achievements based on government support. I just wish the lessons had stuck better.
